[Suite] How to Downgrade Vbulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 4 to Patch1

Somebody give me a hint for downgrading Vbulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 4 to Patch1..
Do i need a database backup of Vbulletin 4.2.2 patch level 1 ?
or can i just replace php files?

I need to check this for plugin conflicts,

There is no supported way to downgrade, nor is there any need to do so.
