    Database backup smaller than production?

I am planning a forum upgrade so i have done a backup of the database.. i done it through SSH and the output file is 1.39GB, but in VB it says the DB size is 2.5GB ... is it normal for it to be smaller? I have created 2 backups and both come out at exactly the same size so I'm assuming it's all good ..i guess i am just a little worried that it hasn't backed up the whole thing!

It's normal, because trough SSH some tables are being stored without their temporary and deflated information. Based on the sizes, I can say it's normal.
Jesus is coming. Are you ready?

You can always check to see if things are fine by importing the database backup and pointing your config.php file to it. See if it works. If it does, then it is just fine. (Also, are you sure you didn't set things up to zip the .sql file?)

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.
