Permanently Archive Forum?

Hi,

I have a forum which is not very active with new content but it still receives a lot of view requests. Is there a way I can lock it down as a permanent text format archive to save server bandwidth?

All you can do is close it to new members and deny posting permissions. There's no way to have it display in a text only format.
