Attaching non-image files

Is there a way to attach an Excel file or a .zip file to a post?

Yes...use the attachment icon on the right of the editor....looks like piece of paper with a papaer clip on it.

You would need to add the xsl and/or xslx extensions to vBulletin first. They aren't a default document type. To add extensions, you would log into the AdminCP and go to Attachments -> Attachment Manager. Click the Add New Extension button.
