StyleVar Visual Dictionary for Forum, Blog, and CMS (PDF Documents)

Rating: 11 votes, 4.09 average.
I wanted to provide everyone with 3 updated PDF documents:
  • Forum StyleVar Visual Dictionary 2.0
  • CMS StyleVar Visual Dictionary
  • Blog StyleVar Visual Dictionary

The StyleVar (style variable) Dictionary is a complete visual reference guide aimed at understanding how and where to use each StyleVar for advanced skinning/theme customization.

Based on overwhelming customer feedback and suggestions, we have added quite a lot more StyleVars to Forums.

Ok, that's all for now. I hope these documents will make customizing and skinning easier for you.

Cheers,

Don

43 pages on how to change the colors on your forum, not to mention the blog and CMS. Fantastic.

If you had released this on Friday, I'd have kissed you Don. I might still kiss you the next time I have to swim across the sea of stylevars to make a tiny change.

Thanks, Fei Leung for all your work inside this pdf! I do not know how this could be done better!

And thanks Don, for managing all this - put your ressources in the right place - and care about our administrator needs.

Don, with the explanation of the first stylevars there is a problem. In "What it Does" both ad_margin and announcement_background have the same (incorrect for them) text of avatar_height. Also, ad_padding has no text in the "What it Does" field.
    Thanks for posting this!

    Hi Don,

first of all I really appreciate such papers to help, thx for that

What I found is, that forumrow_background and forumrow_firstentry_background are left out in the pdf.
Also, heavy_border is mentioned but not working (nothing will change in the top of the navbar).

    Best,

    adusei
