First, a huge thank you for all the great feedback on the 4.0 product from both the Alpha group and customers on vBulletin.com.

vBulletin 4.0 is right around the corner and we're eager to deliver it to you as soon as possible. To that end, we've decided to release a Beta version of Forum and Suite. If you have access to download Forum 4.0 or Suite 4.0, expect the Beta to be available in the member's area no later than mid-November.

And stay tuned in as next week we'll launch the Publishing Suite on vBulletin.com!

I think with this decision vb is heading its end and I'll be forced to switch to... No! Just kidding.

Seriously, I do think this decision will be very beneficial for the beta testing. It was always so in previous versions of vb. I think the beta in vb.com has show this (the improvement in this few weeks has been notorious). This will also hopefully help a lot of customers and modding community to get ready for release time.

So, thank you for reconsidering it. I appreciate it. Big time.

You've made the huge redesign of my site + staff retraining so much easier. I'm going to to try my darn well best to configure everything in the beta to my standards and launch the new version of my site as close to the Gold release as possible; both as a big thanks and because I really want to redo my site .

Thank you so much for deciding to release the Beta to the public (who paid for 4.0). I was beginning to get worried because my site sells (some rather extensive) commercial vBulletin modifications that we otherwise would not have been able to update until well after the gold release. This news relieves some of that burden and allows us to schedule it around other work that needs to be done.
