  • Using the Mobile Publisher

    The Mobile Publisher is the wizard that will allow you to customize your iOS and Android apps when you purchase the Mobile Suite. Care has been taken to make the Mobile Publisher as easy to use and self-explanatory as possible. Here is a quick run through of the Mobile Publisher. When you first enter the Publisher, it will ask you for the URL of your website and your Mobile API key. Both of these need to be exact so that the resulting application can connect to your site and present data to the end user. Once this is done and a connection is made, you cannot change this information. It is important to get this correct. You can obtain your Mobile API key in your Admin CP at the bottom of the left navigation frame. Once the Mobile API is enabled, this key will be available. It is unique to your site. Do not share this with others.

    Drafts
    As you progress through the Mobile Publisher, you can save drafts. These allow you to pick up on your customization later. However note that once you have submitted your App, you cannot go back and edit drafts anymore.

        You can rebuild the app however you will need to edit the info.plist file (iOS app) to change the version numbering before uploading to the App Store. The Android App should be OK - note that a fix is coming to the Publisher to automatically increment the version number to take away this manual step

          I no longer want my members to use the mobile android/iphone app. How do I unpublish them or block users from using them?
