Dragging attachments to add them to manager doesn't actuually add them in FireFox

When you try to drag attachment to a Manage Attachments window, that is shown on screenshot, it doesn't get added to a post. Instead, attachment is opened by browser replacing Manage Attachments page.

Browser: FireFox 3.5.3.

Have just done the same thing and it's because the screen is very unintuitive and misleading with the big DRAG FILES HERE message.

What you need to do is click the tiny add files button at the top of the screen, then select the file, upload it, close that window, then tick the box in the drag files here section and then click the insert attachment button. The drag files here is only of any use if the file is already uploaded, in which case you can drag the file from the top to the bottom to insert it.

The window needs to be made clearer to explain this process and Drag Files Here should be removed/shrunk and just a ick on the files in the section at the top with the option to insert as an attachment or insert in-line would be appropriate.

Not really a bug, but a badly designed screen.

This isn't a bug, as IJeffers has said. The screen is simply misleading. There are a few threads on this in the forum: I hope vB will re-design the assets manager window in the various ways that have been suggested.

It isn't designed as a drag and drop uploader. The functionality does need to be clarified though.
