Hello,
I will admit that I did run a "pirated" copy of vB3, it wasn't for public for anything though. After reading some posts here I deleted all instances of vB on my computer and Webhost.

After finding out buying vB is just as much/cheaper to run than a licensed copy of IPB. This has convinced me to hopefully be part of the vB communiity but I have a question before hand...

I noticed that when you are looking for skins for vB, you have to pay for them. Is this the case for most vB's or am I looking in the wrong spot? I am asking this because I suck and skinning and I kinda don't like this default skin so I wouldn't want this skin if/when I do get vB.

In the feedback forum I read about how Jelsoft should crack down on people because the customers had to pay but piraters don't and that just hit me and told me to delete vB from me pc and server.

From what I've seen, there are plenty of good skins out there that you don't have to pay for.

Sometimes though, it's more fun to make your own skin. I made my own style which looks quite different from the default by simply changing the colors, removing the gradients, and putting in a background I slapped together with paint. It's no masterpiece, but it's acceptable and I've gotten some good comments on it.

Maybe it's an idea to report the provider of the pirated copy of vb3, to the vBulletin team?

I started out with a pirated copy of vB 2.0.3.

After about 30 minutes I realized that vB was simply the best forum software on earth. I went legit a few days later.

link? I'm curious to see what you did as I've always wanted to make my own skin, just can't figure out how.
