Limiting user registrations

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible for me to limit the people who can register on my forum..........

This is bcuz I wish for only people I know to be able to register and post on the Forum. :p

I know this sounds strange but its for a good reason.... as i want people to upload LEGALLY there own Mp3s.. of their own work.......

One of the things that attracted me to this Forum, was that it has attachment capability.

You can restrict the registration process by requiring manual confirmation of accounts (by you), among other methods. You can also completely turn off registration and create the accounts yourself.

Filburt is correct, either method is avaiblie.

But i must warn you that to be able to upload large mp3's you will need to be able to change some server level settings, this would be the same for any message board.

I'm curious (for the sake of curiosity :o).
What would these changes be, typically?

You would need to change the php max upload size, script execution, and a few mysql settings i think too.
