These packs are unoffical and may have extra phrases in them because of how they were created:
Arbic: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99362
Since there is only one other site that produccess a lanagued version of vB, vB-germeny is doing the German lanauge. For these offical sites, your e-mail address must be in the "Priority Support" page here at vB.com. Click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) to make sure your e-mail address is listed.

The french language we presently release on vbulletin-fr.org is rc4 compliant not GOLD (some expressions changed in gold). The file does NOT have extra phrases and a gold compliant file will be released soon on vbulletin.com as we are finishing translations. So don't release it.
ps : thx for the link :)

Obviously you will find extra phrases when using the language pack on a gold. Some phrases were deleted on gold. I said our language pack is rc4 compliant and not GOLD. Users will be able to download our language pack for gold when we release it.

When I first check the file, I found some extra phrases.
All is normal.
The language file is for vBulletin 3.0.0 Release Candidate 4, and some phrases was changed between this version and vBulletin 3.0.0.
Actually, we're translating all of CPHT (Control Panel Help Text), I've translated 120 pages from 185 of vBulletin 3.0.0 Release Candidate 4.
And we're translating this for vBulletin 3.0.0 and will coming soon :)

with regards to the spanish, what does 'pure' imply?
Shane
Tue 30th Mar '04, 1:52am
Pure means that it contains no extra phrases. They built their pack off a custimized vB so it contains stuff that is not inheried to vB default templates. They have since removed all the custom phrases from their pack.

To download the german languagepack you need to register an account at our forum.
After that enter your email address you used to register the account in this form:
http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php
Then you can download attachments.
If you already entered your email address in the priority support forum, remove it, submit the form and enter it again.
Even if you registered with your owner's email address enter it in the form.

Goto the admin control panel > languages & phrases > upload/download languages > import a language (set create new language) and give it a name > import it and you are done. Repeat this for every language you got. Then goto the user control panel > options > and you can select between them.

Well, if you get that one done, let me know. I have some Korean friends who I think would like to see one.
By the way, does anybody plan on doing a Malay or Tamil translation?

Hi,
due to the lack of a British English language pack, I decided to create one myself - "English (UK)" - for vBulletin 3.5.1.
"Buddies" are "Mates" and of course the proper spelling for colour, authorise, customise, etc. as well as dates in the format "DD.MM.YYYY". I decided to use the "." instead of the "-" as this format is common in Europe and avoids confusion with the US "MM-DD-YYYY" format.
I released the file through the submission system and hope it will be released to all, soon.
Enjoy...

is nobody currently checking and releasing new languages? I submitted my English (UK) file on the 14th November and nothing appears to have happened since then.

Yes, but the list doesn't link to the latest Swedish translation, which is 3.5.2.
That thread is here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=168510).
Will probably soon make and update with 3.5.4, and then 3.6 when that is final.

Yes, but the newer phrases obviously won't be translated. You need to choose the 'ignore version' option when uploading.

What's the link to the exact pack that caused this? (There are several French language packs.) I think it's time to remove this until the author fixes these problems.
To fix this try running one of these queries:
For MySQL 4.0.x use this query:
DELETE
FROM phrase
USING phrase AS p1
LEFT JOIN phrase AS p2 ON ( p1.varname = p2.varname
AND p2.languageid = -1 )
WHERE p1.languageid =0
AND p2.languageid IS NOT NULL;
Or for MySQL 4.1.x and higher, use this query:
DELETE
FROM phrase AS p1
USING phrase AS p1
LEFT JOIN phrase AS p2 ON ( p1.varname = p2.varname
AND p2.languageid = -1 )
WHERE p1.languageid =0
AND p2.languageid IS NOT NULL;
Then run this:
AdminCP -> Languages & Phrases -> Language Manager -> [Rebuild All Languages]

The French language pack for vB 3.6.3 and 3.6.4 will be posted here soon (I can't for today, no time for me to do this today). you can install the last language pack available here (for vB 3.6.2), it is 100% compatible, only some phrases changes.
We at vBulletin-fr are sorry for the problem about the email account activation, nobody have noticed our SMTP server was down since some days (and it was impossible for me to detect this because I was move home between December 6th and January 4th). I've restarted it since some days.
And after the restart of the SMTP service on the server, I've send an email activation to all members waiting. You must have this email in your(s) mailbox(es).

and thank you for checking on this. I'm new to VB boards but not new to haveing to code to get things that you want. PHP was what I used and wanted sub-forums and wanted the numbered threads so I plunged out the 160.00 dollars good move too as vb is easier to edit out.
