Are PM's really Private

Hi,
There has been some discussion on a forum I am connected with and the question was raised that said Admins and Mods could read other members PM's.

I would appreciate an official answer from the VBulletin Staff so that I can point them to this reply.

There is no built-in function in vB that allows Admins or Mods to read other people's PMs. However anyone with access to the database can easily access this info if they wanted. The bottom line is that you can't really consider anything posted on a forum as totally secure.

not without a certain VBhack or a script made or access to the DB. Its not a VB default option

If you wanted to be sneaky, you could check to see if the admins of your forum have posted in any of the threads concerning private message hacks over at vBulletin.org.
