It's not funny since I believe vBulletin can do this for the people that live in other countries that read from right to left instead of left to right.

Are you kidding me? He is serious, there are languages (such as Hebrew, Arabic) which are read from right to left.
Google for some forums in those languages, you'll see many types of forum software support it.

Arabic languages read from Right to Left. The fact it appeared suggests you have a corrupt language association.

Dont tell my forum members... this is what i am going to do for April fools day this year ;)You really think most won't be able to tell that this is the correct way in some countries?
I'm not really sure how this is "funny" but I guess everyone has their own sense of humor. ;)

It's funny because it's abnormal. The type of thing that makes you think "WTF."

Abnormal to those who have absolutely no basic knowledge of other cultures, yes. ;)

No, abnormal in comparison to what is accepted as normal. If you opened today's newspaper to find that all of the text was backwards and the colours in the pictures were inverted, wouldn't you consider that to be abnormal?

If you opened today's newspaper to find that all of the text was backwards and the colours in the pictures were inverted, wouldn't you consider that to be abnormal?Lol, here in the US, yes, but it's done by many people outside the US. Yeah, it's different from how I read, so it is odd for me, but since this is actually considered "normal" for many, no I would not find it abnormal, just blah.
This is kind of like saying spelling color as colour is abnormal or funny, because it's different, yet it's not abnormal or funny, because it's the correct way, just not for us in the USA.
Anyway, I think we are making too much of this.

I sometimes find myself using colour or flavour or humour because of the people I chat with in the UK often.

u americans are just lazy when it comes to typing words :P
that problem occurs wit a corrupted table somewhere in database, usesually after updating from vB2 to vB3, can't remember which one it is, just a simple "repair table" will work.

Sorry, I incorrectly explained my usage of the word "abnormal" on that last post... What I meant by "normal" was something that's accepted as a sort of universal inevitability, not something that you expect based on your personal experiences. If I typed "google.com" into the address bar right now and hit enter, I'd expect to see the Google logo followed by a little white text field, because that's what happens every time that I go to Google.com. However, if one day I typed "google.com" into the address bar and hit enter, only to see an image of a man bending over and spreading the cheeks of his arse with his angrily clenched fists, I would say, "Well, hey. That's abnormal." Or if I got off of this chair and walked away from the computer (hypothetical situation) and looked in the mirror, I would expect to see my face in it. But if I looked in that same mirror and saw a horse's giant backside... well, I suppose that wouldn't be very abnormal (lol, joke!).

Haha, well I can tell you what caused my board get messed up like that. When I converted from wbb2.1.3 to phpbb2 my admin name moved from userid 1 to 320. So then I upgrades from phpbb to vB (There was no imprter wbb > vb). So I went to the database and changed my userid from 320 back to 1 (there was no other name that is taking userid 1) so then I closed admincp and opened my forums and was like wtf? It was really adnormal for me because thats the first time I saw that kind of board. Heh. Well I don't know why my username didn't work out with userid 1 so I just changed it back to 320 and now it works fine. It was kind of crazy and hard to figure out what caused that kind of adnormal board. :-p

This has just happened to me (left has become right on my forums) -- it happened after I tried to re-run user ImpEx (I'm setting up a new forum).

No... English in a right to left mode is abnormal regardless of your knowledge of other languages. Arabic in left to right translation would be abnormal as well.
