Here's my experience:
Email to Lunarpages:
============================================
Hi all (LP staff),
Here's my scenario:
I have a premium hosting account with Lunar pages. I host a Vbulletin forum with over 1000 members. When these members used to register on the forum, the "Email notification" was ticked by default (as you have on this Lunar Pages
forum.)
A couple of weeks ago my email stopped coming through, so I phoned your support line and I was told that over 10 people complained about Spam from my website (this was infact the email notification kicking in and sending an email to the member when ever someone participated in a thread that this member had posted in.) I was also told that the server that I\'m on could become blacklisted(?) and this would stop the other customers on that server from hosting...
I was told by your staff that if I did not disable the notification feature (within 24 hours) lunar pages would no longer host my website. I was upset about this and after much investigating I managed to disable this feature until I could find a solution.
1 month later and I will be upgrading my version of Vbulletin to Version 3. I would like to include this email notification feature to my forum and disagree that this should be counted as Spam as the members have requested this to be enabled when they register on my forum. I\'m sure you have many customers that use forums as well that use this feature...
Please could you email me, so we can come to a reasonable solution.

lunarpages response:
=======================================
Hello,
Do to high resource usage and situations such as this, we do not allow vBulletin board on our servers any longer. However, this situation regarding the 'spam' as it were, was addressed directly by our abuse/suspension team.
If they have asked that you disable it, you would need to contact them in regards to this request.
Best Regards,

There are tons of great hosts out there, if you search around you are bound to find one that fits you, when you find a new host your best off to ask around both here at other forums to make sure they are a good host, check their response times for troubles and make sure that they fit the bill you are looking for :)

I used to be with lunar pages, but I used to get frequent down time with them. Ive been with http://liquid-host.net now for about 5 months and my board has been running great, whenever I have a query they usually respond instantly.
