Hello,
I'd really like to use vBulletin 2 But the problem is translating it. There are so many things repeated. Are we going to see language files in the near feature ?
Best Regards,

Those people that need translations, like yourself obviously understand English and a second or third language. You should start translating the template sets and doing code changes and offering them to others. I myself speak English and only a small amount of Spanish, so I can't really help and I bet most other people only speak a single language.

I just translated it mostly into german with the beta1, but i have updated it to php3 extensions for the first, which i won't change in the near future (I'm waiting for a fully stable Version of php 4.0 on the Servers).
But the Design isn't vB standard anymore, on Sonday i will make the relaunch and close the UBB on this page forever :D :D :p :p
When the final release of vB 2.0 comes out, i can make i 1:1 translation to German if anybody want to!

Language Files will greatly help translating the vB. The problem of vB templates is that there are so many things repeated.
My Suggestion:
Extract all the text from the templates and put it into separate files.

Why when you can just extract the templates?

You are right. It was pretty selfish of him to suggest something that would build community and gain the translators some extra exposure which would most likely translate into page views as people went to your forums to review your work. Who knows they may even like your forums enough to become members.
