how do i add a new css class to the stylesheet. I looked everywhere but couldnb't find out how to do it and i dont want to go looking in phpmyadmin, if this cannot be done i think it would be a great feature for vb3 rc3 or final.

umm its been a default feature since beta 3 (at least if i remember right)
look at the bottom of the CSS manager theres a space for extra CSS :)

Any CSS I put in there does not take hold either. I am trying to add css to my header. Any one have any tips on this?

What do you mean take hold?
It works fine for me. I've been adding my own classes just fine.
