MySQL Down?

I've recently noticed that around 4AM PST, my MySQL goes offline for a period of 5-7 minutes...

The error message is:

Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
mysql error number: 2002
Date: Friday 09th of January 2004 04:05:46 AM


Now normally it doesn't bother me, but however I've noticed this occurs daily! :-X


Any ideas why?

You probably have a cron job that is restarting MySQL on a regular basis.

yeah i'd check with your host and also look into your mysql error log *.err in your mysql data directory for clues

Can I view the logs via Ensim? I only have the Administrator access.
