does a poster get any notice of a deleted post here?

I could swear I have made posts over the last week or two that have just completely disappeared - I can't find them by searching for posts that I have made, or searching for keywords I rememebr using in the posts - if I posted something that a moderator would delete, for some reason, would they notify me? What would make my post need to be deleted, in general?

Has anyone else noticed this lately? Maybe I am just losing my mind? (lol)

I don't delete anything without letting the person know. And I'm pretty sure the others don't as well.

I had made a post, and didnt subscribe to it, and forgot where I had posted it - when I searched under 'find all posts by user' last night, it did not show up - yet when I did the same search this morning, it did show up - so maybe it takes the database a while to index the new posts then?
