The last days (weeks?) vBulletin.com has been unreachable for me. Today I found out there is a problem with the vBulletin DNS settings. When I open the site from my server (located in Amsterdam) there is no problem, but when I open the site from my local computer (located somwhere else in the Netherlands) the site is unreachable.

I asked a few users in my chat to open the site, from most locations it is not reachable. A trace from these locations to vBulletin.com is NOT succesfull.

Also, this site (http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx?domain=vbulletin.com&detailed=1) is pointing out a problem "Master DNS defined by SOA (vbulletin.com) was not found among NS records" and this site (http://www.squish.net/dnscheck/)pointing out another problem "Answer returned from non-authoritative source". Most DNS servers will NOT accept these settings, so this could be the problem.

I hope this problem can be solved so we can reach the site. Good luck solving this!

I don't think this has anything to do with a DDoS. That would be the first DDoS changing the DNS settings to wrong values:).

I checked the site a few times from both locations to make sure it is not DDoS related. The sites allways works from the server and never from my location. So I'm affraid a lot of people will have to wait until the webmasters updates the DNS settings.
