Hello,
this is my first post to this forum, so please apologize if I ask for a common thing. (Used search function and found nothing in the posts of the last 4 months)

Unfortunately I was not allowed to post into the VBB3 suggestion-forum, so I post it here.

I'd like to know how the paid subscription feature in VBB 3 works.
In particular I'd like to know whether the following scenario is possible :

I'd like to enable registered Users to get 10 "credits" for the registration,
and each thread they read in some sections (which contain high quality articles) cost them one credit.
The already purchased articles should be stored per user as I want to be fair.
They shall somehow be ablte to read the first few lines of the article, let's say 25 % or 7 lines or so.

(As I am located in Germany, I don't want to use paypal,
but a subscription service wich works with the SMS of mobile phones,
and which generates a password, and writes it into a database.
So when the user wants to increase it's credits, there shall be some "enter password" field, and those passwords are then in the DB tagged as "used".)

I suppose that the payment module won't be a great problem as I have gery good supports from programmers of the payment agency over here, so my question is :

Does VBB 3 support payment per article through credits ?
Does VBB 3 store the purchased articles in the DB ?
(other Board softwares store this in cookies)

The paid subscription works as follows:
you make a new usergroup, and set a paypal adress. Once a members pay's the set fee trought that paypal adress they will obtain a place in that new usergroup. You can set permissions and acces per usergroup.

The functions you describe are not available, though if you request that hack at vbulletin.org someone might make one if it sounds good enough. Otherwise you'll need to hire a programmer to make one.
