Avant Browser Bot

I was looking at my site stats the other day, and we had a bot called Avant Browser on the site. So I researched further, and on its website (http://www.avantbrowser.com) it claims to be an "upgrade to Internet Explorer."

So what I'm wondering is, have you ever had this bot on any of your sites or do you use this browser? Is it an upgrade, or is it a separate program?

A bot? It's a browser which I used to use before Mozilla. It has tabs and a pop-up blocker and more and runs off IE, so naturally all the pages render as if it was in IE. Great for those sites who have webmasters who don't give a **** about any non-IE browser.

It was listed on the bots page, not the browser usage, so I just assumed that it was a bot. :confused:

So it really is an enhancement to IE, not an upgrade.

To me an enhancement makes something better, and an upgrade is put forth by the official company that makes a product.
