I am trying to do a new button set for vB3 and purchased a font set a while back but it was finished and I do not have the .psd files. Can you tell what this font is on this button?:

Thanks! I downloaded it and added it to my fonts directory but do not see an option for this now in Photoshop. Do you know what it is called in Photoshop by chance?

Did you restart?

You do not need to restart. Photoshop has to be closed and reopened, if you installed the font with Photoshop running.
Photoshop loads all the fonts at the beginning, so any extra fonts you add while Photoshop is running won't get added to the list.
The font's display name in Photoshop is '04b_21'. :)

Even doing that before hasn't worked, and sometimes a few restarts don't work

Put the font in the program files>>common files>>adobe>>fonts folder and it will show up straight away, does for me anyway.

(It's a free font, by the way)Hehe yeah ... it's one of the most overused, cliché'd fonts in button/menu graphics today :D

Well, it's either that or 04b_08, 04b_09, or Century Gothic. :p

Probably the official Sims font...? Either that or as merk said, it could've been drawn.

The font should be on that page.

I can always add fonts while having Photoshop running, and they'll show up straight away. I just open my Winnt/fonts folder, go file > install new font, locate my new font (which I didn't place in that directory, cos that'll not work), hit Install and I can instantly use it.
Mind you, Photoshop has a weird way of organizing fonts in the fonts list, it might be placed somewhere far at the bottom or so...

I find in WINXP and 2k clicking and dragging the font into the fonts directory will initiate the installation. Exctraction wont work, but cut/paste, click/drag will.

Hmm, I've not tried to see if that makes it install itself into running programs, but I reckon it ..should...
But then I don't get why it won't work for people in a running Photoshop :/

I don't think it is a hand drawn font. The original sims logo people thought it was drawn, but after a lot of digging I found the font.
