View Full Version : A little NN4 mess-up.

Just for curiosity, I fired Netscape Navigator 4.04, to see how vBulletin will be rendered by it...

It happens only in forumdisplay.php. Index.php and showthread.php render normally. Same results on four Windows boxes ( 95, 98, NTSP3 and NTSP6 ).

Just stick an   in the cell if if there is no image. It'd probably be in no_icon_bit, or something with a similar name :)

It is not the blank icon cell -- properly fixed, as you said, with a non-breaking space ( NN really doesn’t like empty table cells :)).

It is the fixed width of the first 6 columns. See? No matter how you resize the NN window, only the Last Post column is adjusted.

Thanks for pointing that out Aldreis. There will be an   automatically entered for 'No icon' in the future.

Some companies ( like mine ) simply have to standardize on NN on their Intranets/WANs, due to contractual requirements. So, I’m interested to know if any other NN version ( besides 4.04 ) is also showing the same behavior -- the fixed width on the first six columns. Anyone else?

Yes it is displaying incorrectly on Netscape 4.7 on win 98.

Even though it is beta, Netscape 6 displays this correctly.

No trouble at all. In fact I thank you for finding it, because I rarely use NN, but I know there are many who do, and I want it to display properly for all;)

Everyone should have an equal chance to see what is being good for us, privileged ones...
