Officially hit the 9,944 ranking on Alexa yesterday - meaningless ranking, but advertisers like it when you can say you are in the top ten thousand. :)

Congrats, I broke the 10K mark when I asked about half a dozen of my active members to install the alexa toolbar. As soon as we removed the toolbar, we droped back to the 100K mark! :)

You where probably looking at the daily rank, which I have peaked out at like 5000. The real rank is the three month average.
Its a "rank" of your position on the internet. And I just noticed you said 1064, I wish :) - that would out rank unknowns like foxsports (3000 something).
They build your rank based on two things, amount of different users to hit your site, and the amount of page views your site gets. Then builds a ranking based on some sort of combination of the two (I suck in different users, get maybe around 20,000 on a good day, kick butt on page views get around 2000 on a good day). The number is all but meaningless because it only can rank those that use their toolbar, which all the spyware products call spyware and delete for you, even though it isnt except for its adverise purpose (now:)).

I doubt it, he just has a higher percentage of alexa toolbar users then other sites do. Not hard to skew alexa results...

Ranking, ranking not ##### :) - I get a decent number of uniques a day (around two thousand from search engines alone), but no where near 20,000 :)
