I run a RH7.0 server and recently upgraded the mysql rpm's to 3-23.32-1.7 and phpMyAdmin no longer works. After posting the problem at phpwizard.net with no repsonses, I'm looking for an alternitive until it's addressed.

I just downloaded myphpadmin and that doesn't even compare to phpMyAdmin.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Chad

That looks like an interesting program. My only problem is when I try to connect, it tells me the my database does not allow remote log ins. Anyone know how to allow this?

Then you should install the software on that remote computer.

I think you did not check mydbpanel much,
a simple difference and more advanced feature is
1. the layout (extremely good ) -- where in phpmyadmin you have to scroll and scroll and scroll to use any functionality
2. if you give multiple query in the query window
MYDBPANEL will show all the result , execution , error for each query separately (it will show result for even select syntax)
PHPMYADMIN will just show a alert of all the queries which are executed sucessfully and moreover select syntax wont have any out put ....

first when I used MYDBPANEL I also thought like that , but now it is clearly the best on for one reason -- navigation and ease of use and has more features that are not in other tools

Best is surly your own personal preference. Best to me means, which is the most popular. Most popular being phpMyAdmin.

Ill stick with phpMyAdmin mainly because that's what I have used in the past. I believe they call it 'habit'.

Perfect , what you are telling is right . But we also should not forget to appreciate the hard work and the advanced design of any tool (which I found in MYDBPANEL), I think Iam right by saying this. what is you comment.
