Multiple Installations, One Database

I would like to install two occurrences of vBulletin (I know I would have to buy it twice) under one domain name that has only one MySQL database. Is this possible with either 1.1.x or 2.0 without having to hack vBulletin and change the MySQL table names that are created?

The only way to do this in 1.1.x is to hack the code, and I believe the same is true for 2.0
