CLean install of new version?

I've seen many people screaming over the upgrade process. Has anyone had any difficulty running a clean install of the new vB version?

I installed 1.1.2 in a few minutes with no problems at all.

The only problem I did have was a minor one with the UBB import (member registration date), but that worked itself out on its own.

Two thumbs up so far! Time for me to start hacking at the templates...

Can this new version run with magic_quotes_gpc on? Because I cant seem to turn them off?

vBulletin should work with magic_quotes_gpc on. It operates on my server without any problems. It is not optimised for operation with that option turned on, so I recommend that you turn it off if at all possible.
