Hope that someone can help us solving this annoying problem !
Some info
Vbulletin 2.3.0
Severall hacks installed including Lesane's Store hack.
We have a forum running where constantly have +/- 150 members online.
Now are we already 2 times suspended by our new host http://www.aventurehosting.co.uk - Platinum hosting)
Our forum is pulling with 160 members online a CPU load of (at peek, evening NL time, GMT +1) 15.8 where 0.5 is normal.
Now we want to install the latest Vbulletin 3 forum and remove all hacks!
This should make the forum less CPU load intensive.
But now I want to know if there are more options that should decrease the CPU load.
So if anyone knows some tricks and tips would that be nice.
TIA

How does your host have their servers setup? Do they have Apache, mySQL and php, configured?
Saw their hardware
Hardware
Ensim Server Hardware
Intel Celeron 1.3->1.7Gh Processors
Minimum of 1GB RAM
60-120GB Hard Drives
256k FSB & 512 FSB cPanel Server Hardware
Intel Cerslon 1.3->1.7Ghz Processors
Minimum of 1GB RAM
60-80GB Hard Drives
256KB FST & 512FSB
It may be their servers that can't handle the forum.

They have running
Apache version : 1.3.28 (Unix)
PHP version : 4.3.2
MySQL version : 4.0.14-Standard
Also our bandwith increased drastically (going in one day from 1.5 gig to 6 gig !)
On how they have configured (if you mean paragraphs) I have to ask them.

Because of the CPU load we created, we are suspended by the host :mad: :confused:

Sounds like you need your own dedicated server or atleast a VPS where you can use more cpu.

Ditch the hacks and upgrade to vBulletin 3.0.0 Beta 5. That is probably the only way you can lower server load...

change it to 0 to turn if off should use less cpu/mysql concurrent connections and maybe you host will unsuspend your site
