telling a users IP even if they havent posted

ok, i know most people don't really have a need for this, but i need to know registered users ip's even if they have never posted - currently i believe vB only records a users ip if they post - is there any other way to tell this information? even if it's not through the board, is there a way to tell which IP's access the site? does this make sense?

I did a couple of searches and did not find anything, but I do not think it would be that hard to log the IP address of the user when they register.

VB2.0 will store the IP when the person registers - only applies to new members after you upgrade though :)
