I think the logo is very much copyrighted, if you want to keep the purple just copy the colour :)

We don't distribute the logo as a PSD. It is our trademarked image.

seriously dude, with some mediocre photoshopping skills, you can completely redesign or rewrite the title in the vB logo without much difficulty...
