I don't really want a new host but I'm not sure what to do.
I'm hosted with Dreamhost. I've been really really happy with them and I never have any trouble at all with them.
They offer 40gb of bandwidth a month for my plan, and this month I used 57gb :( That's gonna cost me $87.00 this month over the $80.00 a month I'm already paying for hosting. I am provided with 25 MCn for my forum per month. This month I've used 38 MCn and it's gonna cost me $68.00. That's a total of 235.00 just for this month. I even closed my forum to just members only to keep the traffic down.
I was just wondering, is that a lot to pay for a site my size? So far nothing has come out of my pocket because I've sold so many accounts for Dreamhost with that little link on my site. I'm just afraid my money will run out and I'll be stuck.

Do you have gzip turned on, and set to 1, and does dreamhost support gzip ? This might save some future traffic.
Maybe you can come to a compromise with the company for a bigger hosting plan.

I don't know what a gzip is. Dreamhost supports it though. How do I set it to 1?

I checked out DreamHost and had a look at their bandwidth pricing and those prices are a bit high and above what most other reliable hosts are charging. While they are charging $5-$12 per GB overage, most others are in the $2.50-$3.50 per GB overage range.
I'm not saying they are a bad host because of this, but that is a bit expensive when it comes to customers having to pay overage fees.
If you are going over this month, chances are you may be right at the same spot again next month and be forced to pay the same thing over again; possibly more, possibly less.
Personally, I would look to find another host, if that is an available option for you. Moving is not the easiest thing when it comes right down to it, but there is not too much you can do with 25MB of MySQL disk space. As a host, I and my staff do monitor MySQL usage, though, customers are allowed to use as much as their account will allow without having to pay for overage (i.e. if their account comes with 200MB, they can use the whole 200MB for MySQL, or for files and MySQL, ect).

I pay $80.00 a month for hosting space, if I go over 40gb of bandwidth, then I have to pay extra.

It may not be what you are looking to do, but as above, it may be better in the long run to switch hosts; especially if you may be looking to pay those overage fees every month. I sent you a PM in regards to hosting, you are free to contact me anytime.

Not sure but I guess its no different then rackshack giving 700 gigs for 99.00 the only difference is rackshack is offering pIII and 1u-4u is offering p4'S
I would imagine its all in the buying power....
HMM.. just went to your site and you offer 300 GB for 40.00 bucks the only difference is that your's is not dedicated?
Maybe the reason they can offer it with a dedicated server is because they are buying thousands of servers at a time and can leverage there buying power back to the customer

I can fit two of those accounts on one rack shack P4 machine and a few more shared accounts.
300 GB + 300 GB = 600 GB = 100 GB left for shared accounts
$40 + $40 = $80 = $40 to make up with shared accounts
