Hi,

I have my domain hosted with Vikmar.com (www.vikmar.com) and I have PHP3/MySQL/CGI-BIN access.
The thing is, I do not have telnet access (would have to pay more for it).

I looked over the instructions on this site about how to install it, and it says I have to create a MySQL database by using a command line option.
I am confused (hence my post about wanting a demo) before buying vBulletin, and just wanted to know the stages I would need to go through to install it.
(ie what you actually did to install it)

I currently run a UBB.

Thanks for any help

When I ran the install script, it created a database on its own.

Just get your MySQL user/pass and stick that in config.php, and you should be good to go.

Once PHP and mySQL are installed correctly, installing vBulletin is about a 2.5 minute job. Edit the config.php and put in your username/password/database name/mysql server, and run the install.php... That is it. The script creates the database, sets up the templates... Easy as pie.
