How do leave default thread on top?

How do leave a message thread for my users that does not get pushed down when new threads are added? An example of what I want to do is on this board as an Announcement thread.

currently this feature is not avalible, however it will be a standard feature in v2, its called "Sticky" threads. You can find out more info by searching these forums for sticky threads...

To create an announcement go into your control panel. They aren't threads though. Your users can't reply to them but they do stay on top.

Announcements should be the first set of options in the control panel.
