I have gone all up and down this forum trying to find the answer to why I get bad links emailed to me:
example:
This thread is located at http://breezeaire.com/forum/upload/index.php/showthread.php?threadid=1
the index.php seems to be the problem, not sure how to keep that from generating.
Also, should I use php3? I am on a virtual server (not dedicated) and they have php3 and 4, so they say.
Thank You for any help on this.

CP->Change Options.
One of your URLs at the top (bburl -- I can't remember exactly) has the extra /index.php.
Take it out.

definitely a weird one...
do you have all the files uploaded correctly?
I would check, too, with your host to see whether you should run the php3 extensions (though since the main page is showing up fine I would have to say that PHP is okay).
I cannot figure out for the life of me why woul wouldn't be able to get past the front page if everything is uploaded, which I don't think it is because there's not a single graphic showing up on your pages.

In your admin CP, goto Options > Change Options > General Settings > bburl. Change "http://breezeaire.com/forum/upload/index.php" to "http://breezeaire.com/forum/upload"
That should do it :)

I will try the changes. Thank You all for such fast replies.
Yep that was it... Thanks again for such fast help.
As for using php3 is there any benefit from that?
I downloaded the php vers. and it seems to work. This is my first try and using php and mysql, not counting the lite vers of VB.
Thanks Again!

Stick with the standard php version, php3 is an older version, not all webhosts support php4 yet, php4 is quite a bit faster, and has more options then php3.
