Some of my users say that after creating a really long posts, when they try to edit it, it all disappears.
Is there something that I have or haven't done?

I dont know what is wrong, but my first suggestion would be to upgrade to 1.5

I can't upgrade.
I tried and I got a bunch of problems because of all the edited templates.
And I wasn't advanced enough in PHP or MySQL to figure out what to do.

AMG, I'm pretty sure this is a known bug. We've seen this when using our "back" button though, not the preview etc buttons on the pages. Maybe ask them if they're using the back button on their browsers?

I have a couple of posts that are very long in my Advisor's area. One is 60K in size. I regularly edit them and haven't had a problem.

Wayne, I think he's talking about while composing the original post...Like, you type out your post (let's say, forgetting to post a post subject), and hit the "post" button. You'll get a message saying "You have not filled out all the fields, please use your browsers back button to edit your post". However, with some browsers, when you do this, the entire post disappears. (This has happened to me...it's enough to make you scream.) I've solved this myself by going in my browsers prefs and checking to only compare files with the cache once per browser session. Other than that, a good policy is to always highlight your post and right click/copy before hitting the "submit" button just in case.

Yes, I have always copied long posts before hitting submit, or preview or anything!
It is a wise thing to get into the habbit of.

I am like WereHere. If my post is going to be more than a few lines or a quick answer then I will write it in Textpad first and save it on my harddrive. Then I will copy and paste the post into the form.

Yea, I think something like this has happened to all of us
Spend twenty minutes on a post and then screw it up - not fun

Well thanx for your input... I was just curious if it was something that I had disabled or needed to enable!
