I understand that there is an "adminpermissions.php" file, but couldn't you do something similar for Super moderators?

Meaning you can limit their moderator abilities, including their ability to edit the admin's signature and avatar...

I feel something like this is needed. For example, I don't want anyone except myself to physically be able to delete posts, however I have to edit the templates to achive this.

I was looking for this the other day, i wanted to change my moderators CP to the silver one, however there is no way to edit moderator permissions in this way. :S

We don't necessarily comment on every suggestion. Nonetheless they are looked at and considered by the Developers.

Hopefully this or something about Super Mod controls will be done:)

I agree - I do not want moderators having access to prune all of my forums' posts - I can stop admins from doing this, but not mods it seems.

I like stopping my mods from physically removing the post, incase I didn't want them deleting them:)

The same kind of control for Super Mods and also their CP permissions is needed...

This is an issue i agree on, i trust my mods, but i don't like the prune feature, as a mod could remove all posts from a forum. i normall edit the option from admin and mod cp's. But it would be nice to see a feature in which you can disable that option for only people who are in the config file or something. (i'm sure that wouldn't take much work to do as it would be basically the same as the super admin)

Yes, this would be a nice adjustment for all the reasons already listed. *crosses fingers*

I think that we can restrain Super Mod deleting post etc. if one puts that Super Mod as a moderator in one or more forums.

No - Their Super-Mod permissions will overwrite their Moderator permissions;)

Did you try?

I've created a user put him as supermoderator AND then put him as a moderator in a forum and disable a few powers like viewing IP.
It works.

PS : excuse my english (I'm FR)

Your version of vBulletin must be faulty, as if you do not have permissions to do something under one usergroup, and another usergroup has permission to, then you can do that thing whatever it may be...

*A 2 years later BUMP* :D

Has this been considered at all? It's a desperately needed function in vB :(

As NTLDR pointed out he only wants himself to be able to hard-delete posts... There are also some other mod functions that I don't want Super Mods to be able to do :(

I already have that installed Kirby :)

I just meant for the future, as it should really be a default feature :p
