Calendar - Private Events...

I posted an event for the 3rd of Febuary on the calendar. I know that I can see it when I am logged in, and when I log out, I know that I can not see it... My question is, are the private events viewable to only members, or only the person that posted it? Could we do a public event that is viewable to everyone regardless of being a member or not, or logged in or not?

Only you can see private events, all public events are viewable by everyone, logged in or not.

Are you saying that only "I" (myself) can see my private events, or only "members" can see them?

I cannot post public events in this forum... Is that an option for admin?

Only you can see your own private events. I believe it is an option by usergroups to set public events (that everyone can see)... ie, for your site, you may want to make it so all registered users can post public events...

Im not 100% sure on how it works, but thats what i understand.

I think this has been answered but can the calendar events be based by group instead of private? If this has already been posted please excuse my asking.
