A few questions

I'm really looking forward to this new version coming out but I have a few questions. Can you turn cusom avatars off? Is it possible for only certain people to be able to use custom avatars? Also, is there an option to turn off the ability to attach files?

I believe you can turn both of custom avatars, and attached files off.

Ugh Freddie, does this mean that we won't be able to limit avatar use to certain usergroups? As I've mentioned before, we depend on avatar usage by a specific usergroup (those who donate toward expenses.) If this functionality is taken away, we're not going to be able to enable avatars -- which I was hoping to be able to enable them to take away some of my daily drudge work. (Oh...new donator....get email with picture...edit picture....upload to our webspace....find user in control panel....edit their usertitle to include their avatar...search for one of their posts to make sure I did it right.)

Currently it isn't controlled by usergroups so I suppose you will have to leave them turned off and assign them via the control panel.
