You REALLY should make it so you can have borders (custom color) between the cells....
This is a real big problem I have had w/ vbulletin 1.x

Uh you can but Netscape doesn't support it so you would still have to include everything in a black table if you want to support netscape.

It is an option in 2.0 as you can see by the black borders on my forum (in IE)

Oh your kidding me.....please tell me you guys didnt use the bordercolor= option?
A simple nesting of tables with the one having a different bgcolor , and the other using cellpadding of 1 would have been compatible across all browsers. Please tell me you did it this way :)

It uses nested tables.
Those people who want more sophisticated border options can always use CSS to acheive the effects they want.

Custom colors are still very much an option with nestled tables, so I don't see any possible problem, unless I read over the posts a little too fast.
The table used for the borders could have a custom color.

It's easy to add borders in any version vB, just read this...

vBulletin 2.0 already has the capabilities for borders with those tables YellowKard. All you have to do is set the border color under Style Options and you are ready to go.

I think he was referring to the bordercolor tag. Your forums don't use the border color tag. ;)

Yes it does which I said when I typed this in:

I don't think we have any desire to increase the level of nested tables by including this. Webmasters then take vB and stick into their site under who knows how many tables from the header..Then netscape users start complaining of blank pages because it can't handle the nested tables, problems and more problems....

I'm totally not recommending what I'm talking about to be in a release of vB, I completley understand ;). Just trying to help out some that are wanting to do this.
