[img] tag bugs?

hmm.. something fishy is going on here but i'm not sure what - I just posted that image using the vb img code and it just shows up as the code in the post, but when I hit reply to point that out it shows the picture - is this a bug? am i retarded? can others see the image?

do you really? could it be because you are a mod? I just posted 2 different pics and am getting the same thing - oh well, I guess it's just this thread! I REALLY hope this doesn't start happening on a regular basis tho and that it's a fluke, not a bug.

that is totally weird, it seems some people can see them and some can't - I'm gooing to check out my profile options and see if there might be something in there, otherwise I think this might be a really weird bug.

OK - This has to be a bug, it's totally bizarre.

I just decided to check to see if the pictures were viewable in Netscape. I loaded netscape and went to the thread and voila! They were there. Then I logged into the board in Netscape and reloaded the thread and the pictures are no longer showing.

WHAT THE HELL???? This is totally bizarre, but I know it's not just me and it has something to do with being logged in.

I just logged out of the board and viewed the thread in IE and the pictures are there again - If anything it should be the other way around. I'm thinking maybe the people who CAN see the images aren't logged in and those who CAN'T are logged in.

I've tried this on both IE and Netscape - Anyone else able to reproduce this?

I too, can see all pictures when im loged out, i only see the [img ] code when logged in.

I split the bug posts out and now the img tags work.

wierd... they work for me too. i wonder if somebody had some bad code in the other thread, that would stop img tags from working... *shrug*

maybe, but how does that explain being able to view the images when logged out while not being able to while logged in? If it were bad code, I would think it would be consistent for everyone, or atleast to a specific browser or platform.

If you look at the original thread you still can't see the images. Since I can't debug this forum we will have to wait for john to look at it unless you can duplicate it on the beta forum.

It happens when Nic[h]olas starts the thread.
