When trying to add a Usergroup Leader, I get a "Nothing to Do" error screen...
I am not sure if that user has been added as a Usergroup Leader or not...

How do I add a Usergroup Leader?
Create a new usergroup, make it publicly joinable...
Then go to Usergroup Manager, and where it says "Edit usergroup" next to the usergroup you just made, click on the drop box, and I think it is the 2nd option from the bottom:)

hmm, what about a Moderator Leader? Is that possible?
I mean, is it possible to add a Leader to a non public Usergroup?

No - But if the group has a leader, all applications must be approved by the group leader;)

Be carefull if it is a sensitive group, because when you change the group to public, there is no moderator on it and anyone can join until yuo assign a usergroup leader.

I created a new usergroup and I have no option to appoint a leader in my dropdown menu. All I have is "Edit Usergroup, Edit Promotions, Delete Usergroup, Show All Users & View Reputation". At what point do we get the option to appoint a leader?
Can we not appoint a leader of one of the Built In Usergroups?

You have to make the group a "public and joinable" group. It is one of the options when editing the usergroup.

Sorry to double post, but thought I'd ask in this thread too. When logged in as the usergroup Leader of a group, I can approve new requests. But, I don't see anywhere that shows me who is in the user group or how I can remove people from it. I would hope that the person approving people to a group could also remove them.

There is currently no way for the leader to remove users.

Maybe that may be something to look for in the future, but for now, I would assume that all group leaders are staff?
This way they can request users to be removed;)

Not necessarily, you can have a lot of normal member groups with no special permissions anywhere, that just have a different rank and username display (like staff here being in purple bold italics underlined, etc.) which doesn't require a staff member as a leader for it.
Also, many boards are for online gaming clans, and they could have the Clanleader be Groupleader, and he or she doesn't have to be on the staff at all, yet still only approve other clan members to the Clan group. :)

IMO I wouldn't give a non-staff member the ability of being a Usergroup leader, but I do agree that a remove option will be needed:)

With a site like imahosting.com you wouldn't want to require staff to be group leader for each clan hosted there, hence non-staff group leaders are an excellent thing in that situation. :)
But a permission-based `Remove-option yes/no` would be useful nonetheless ^_^

One of my co-admins for my forum as found that once you have deleted a usergroup leader from the group they led, then they cannot be re-appointed as a leader of that group again :(

Are we able to download the version with these fixes? or get it via CVS? Saw that you tested a fix and wondered how to get it.
