I'm not sure if there's a way to turn off and on the Messenger icons on the boards, but turn them on..
When a user has added all their Messenger details to their profile; MSN, AIM, YIL, ICQ. You'll then see the icons in the memberlist.php and the showthread.php and I'm sure there are other pages too.
Anyway, when you click on the MSN icon it loads up the MSN window but it also starts up your AIM program.
Now these are two separate IM programs....

Chris

you dont need to bump a topic after 30 minutes. We go through the entire forum and check every thread on a regular basis. It will be moved once someone has had the time to confirm it.

I dont use Messenger Icons simply because they do not go with the site's style...

That is why this is still in Beta... To find more bugs... With a beta, bugs are to be expected...

It happened to me.
I thought it must have been just a fault on my part the first time, but I re-boot my computer and tried it again, sure enough.. it happened. :(

I just went to your site and used the liks off the members page and it only brings up the one you click on. HOWEVER there are programs that link MSN and AIM. For example AIM hooks into Outlook express just like MSN messenger does and I find that on my pc if outlook express is open then BOTH Aim and MSN are open at same time.

we're using the code exactly as Microsoft provide it and nothing AIM is added. So i'm presuming its because AOL is integrated with Outlook Express.
I'll move this to resolved as this is only affecting one user. If it starts to affect more users then we can have another look at it.
