If you have upgraded your board from 2.3.x, you may notice that pre-upgrade threads do not show their thread preview tooltip on forumdisplay. If you want to fix that, go to the Admin Control Panel, scroll the nav panel down to Import & Maintenance, choose Update Counters and then run the Rebuild Thread Information section.
Your thread previews will be updated for all threads.
This does not apply to people who have installed a fresh vBulletin 3.
