I was wondering if there will be a sleek looking control panel in 2.0 instead of the "boring, get the job done with no fun" current one :) I'd like to see something like this:

Yes, the new control panel is much nicer looking! It resembles the one in that thread slightly, but it is even better! :)

am i alone in saying that i'd rather the dev team did'nt waste time making the cp look beter when only the admin's will see it and it does'nt need to look good.

Jamie, that's kind of a moot point now that the work is already done on it (and has been done for quite awhile now). I look forward to getting my hot little hands on this script. I'm sure we won't upgrade immediately...gonna wait for a few more bugs to be squashed, but I hope to have it up within the next month or so. We've heard hinting that it will be available for download within the next two weeks. :)

sorry susan, i was just saying that there are far more important things than the look of the cp,

i've heard that it will be ready on the 1st feb, the day ater ubb6.

I wouldn't build up hopes for 1st Feb 2001.

I like the control panel very much. Great work guys. :)

It makes things easier on yourself if you have a nice purty control panel to manage things.

A well designed control panel makes it much easier for admins to understand however! Have you seen all the posts around these forums begging vb to have a more well designed control panel? So while it may not be on the top of your list, it is on the top of other peoples. ;) Also, keep in mind that it has been done for a long time now! ;)

I am not sure who you heard that from but I do not think that is "official" by any stretch! I do think you will see it out fairly soon, but I don't know for sure. :)
