Refresh for new posts

Another board I am on has a feature wchich allows the user to pick refresh times for the active topics page. I really enjoy this feature and was wondering if there were a possibility to include this feature. I understand the real big sites would probably not want this as it would just increase server load.

I couldn't ever imagine a persistant connectoin to the database. do you have a site you can show us?

It has a drop down for how often you want the page to reload.

I am trying to work out this hack myself.

Looking through the templates, I think it would work to put it in the searchresults template as the view new posts merely uses the template above. What do you think?

Umm I could have a go at but it maybe a little hard to do.
