Right, my last posting was removed for some reason but I'm not sure why.
I'm looking to busy vbulletin sites but would rather run my own server. If anybody else is thinking about doing the same and would like to split the cost of a server then please let me know.

Whoever you get to split the cost of the server with you...I would recommend yall going with a server from http://www.rackshack.net I've seen using them for alittle over 2 months now and haven't had any problems. Their support is great too. I been there a few times asking questions.

If you are looking to have more then one account on your server, Why not just get a semi dedicated account? Instead of a full server. We offer a nice semi-dedicated server package including WHM/cPanel. See my sig for link.

No way am I going to judge vb-host, but no way would I purchase an account from them.

Which is it? In a different thread you said you read two bad reviews on us (which you still have not given me the URL's to) and now it is you have talked to several people. As far as I am concerened it is hear say, as all we hear is you saying it.

Sorry, but I gotta side with tgillespie on this one...
I have had an account for a little over a month. It was setup quick and I was very impressed w/the server's speed. However, ftp on subdomains (or using any ftp accounts added w/cpanel) still do not work, and WHM was down for quite some time.
I also ordered an additional account for one of my forums on 6/6 and it FINALLY got set up last night. I ordered it on the 6th because I knew our current hosting would be pulled yesterday. We've been down since 5pm last night now, thanks to this. I am still waiting for a response about getting our database imported so I can turn the site back on.
Finally, regarding the urls to some sites that have had problems with vb-host... well...
vb-host.com (currently down!)
theforumhost.com (currently down!) (hey, aren't those the companies sites?)
chazzlayne.com (currently down!)
fastlayne.com (currently down! MY BUSINESS SITE!!!!!!!!!)
overtorqued.net (currently down! not to mention the other issues listed above)
All the other domains I host. :squint:
And the others if anyone would care to list them...
As to the user here at vbulletin.com, "vB-Host.com", I question whether it is the company, or just a troll trying to get the company in trouble for "spam". Either way, I suggest they re-read this (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=41015) as they seem to be commercially advertizing on quite a few threads here.

I'm going to close this threrad since it has gotten off-track. Anyone having issues with vB-Host.com should contact them directly. By the same token, vB-Host.com should not be using these forums to resolve customer issues, or trying to get new customers.
