Get rid of that white line

when i change skins and try to change the colours, 2 things are bothering me..

1) How do i get the buttons drop and line and center..
2) Theres always a big white lin around where the "User CP" buttons are.. how do i get rid of it?

1. I don't understand.
2. Remove both instances of menu_background.gif from the header template.

ahh, thanks a lot..

the first one, im trying to move the "User CP" etc buttons from the top right hand corner, to the centre, just beneith the banner

Just edit the header template. It's straight HTML.
