Image Board: Left and Right Images?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure out how to do the ol' image border trick that some vBullerin forums use. Now, so far I've managed to do it via 3 table cells...

Now, the problem is that I had to do it for every template, and unfortunatly I have to make some more templates, and it takes about an hour to apply the border to each template. What I'd like to do it have the table code in the header, the content in cell 2 and the borders in 1 and 3, and have it close the tables in the footer. I'm guessing thats how you did it on this board?

Either way, I'd REALLY appreciate any ideas or help anyone can give.

wouldnt it be faster to just change the header ? I think thats how ppl do it

I thought that's what I've been trying.
