View Full Version : Does vB 2.0 revert your templates?

Will the new version coming out, after installation, revert your templates back? Beause I screwed mine up a bit and don't want to get the replacements...I figure I'll just wait till vB 2.0 if it changes the templates back hehe.

v2.0 uses a new template set and moves your current templates to a backup.

freddie, you mean to say we'll have to edit all the templates from scratch? :(

More than likely -- with all of the new features available, it would be a smart idea to start over. I'm dreading it too, but I think that I would miss some things if I just copied my old templates.

We are jumping major version numbers (v1 to v2) so I do think it is something that should have been expected by everyone. It will save your old templates and you can compare the two and make the changes needed.

This is the only reason I haven't upgraded by board to v2 yet, I haven't the time to change the templates and I don't want to run it looking 'stock'. Most of my users aren't real computer savvy so I have to be careful when making any changes on them.

LOL, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I'll have to make my templates almost perfect before leashing 2.0 on my m ain board.

A lot of my users are computer savvy and still through a fit about changes. :)

So I will be doing the same thing. Upgrading a testboard. Changing the templates and migrating all of that over to the main system.

However most of it is most likely going to be cutting and pasting and a little tweaking. Hopefully Styles and some image uploads will take care of a lot.

I have the same idea to do this when some v2.0 hacks are released.
