Ok I have an owned version of vBulletin, just recently has it expired. How much time do I have to renew my license before I'm forced to purchase another owned version?

I'd rather wait until vB3 comes out, as I see no real reason to have a license that is just sitting there expect running outta time and wasting money.

So is there a grace period to renew expired license's before having to purchase another owned license for $185?

You have an unlimited amount of time to upgrade... it doesn't matter when you do it. It'll always cost you $30 (unless there's a price increase/decrease for some reason)

Note, you don't have to buy another owned license. You only have to renew access to the download section in the members area to get vBulletin 3! (optional, not mandatory ; for 30$)

It will be another 12 months of access. From the date on that you purchase it. So you can wait for vB3 to be released.

Also, the owned license is $160, not $185.
The leased license is $85.
